Patty LemerPATRICIA S. LEMER is a co-founder of Developmental Delay Resources, which has now merged with Epidemic Answers.  Ms. Lemer serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Epidemic Answers.  She holds a Masters of Education in counseling and learning disabilities from Boston College and a Masters in Business from Johns Hopkins University.  Ms. Lemer is a National Certified Counselor, and practiced as an educational diagnostician for over 30 years.  Ms. Lemer lectures internationally on viewing developmental delays, including autism, PDD, AD(H)D, LD, OCD, NLD and others, as a spectrum of disorders.  She is the author of Outsmarting Autism:  The Ultimate Guide to Management, Healing, and Prevention and the editor of EnVISIONing a Bright Future:  Interventions that Work for Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, published in 2008.   She specializes in combining developmentally appropriate practice with sound theory.  She is especially interested in combining a biomedical approach with vision and other movement and sensory-based therapies.  Ms Lemer lives in Pittsburgh, PA and is the mother of an adult daughter and the grandmother of Penelope, born in August, 2006.

beth lambert headshot2BETH LAMBERT is a former healthcare consultant and teacher. As a consultant, she worked with pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic and other health care companies to evaluate industry trends.  She is the author of A Compromised Generation:  The Epidemic of Chronic Illness in America’s Children (Sentient Publications, 2010).  In 2009, Beth founded Epidemic Answers and currently serves as Executive Director.  Beth attended Oxford University and graduated from Williams College and holds a Masters Degree in American Studies from Fairfield University. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society. Beth is also the mother of three young children.

Michelle copyMICHELLE TORTORA recieved a B.S. in Communications from Boston University. She spent many years in financial marketing, most recently working as an associate in marketing operations for JPMorgan Chase. When Michelle’s son was diagnosed at 18 months old with autism spectrum disorder, she began a journey of discovery into the root causes of his condition. Using a combination of the gluten free/casein free diet, supplements, developmental and occupational therapies her son is recovered. Michelle also has a neurotypical daughter who has recovered from chronic Lyme disease,  food allergies, inflammation and chronic ear infections. Armed with the knowledge that her son’s autism symptoms stemmed from gut dysbiosis and immune dysregulation, Michelle was able to apply similar healing protocols to her daughter with great results. Michelle is now a Vibrational Therapy practitioner and Certified Reiki Master.

Lauren StoneLAUREN LEE STONE, PHD, MS, HHP is a nutritionist and holistic health practitioner who uses BioEnergetic Medicine as a healing modality.  Lauren came to BioEnergetic Medicine in the search to heal her own children, and chose to make it her career after experiencing its success first hand. In addition to a B.A. from Yale University and a PhD from Cornell University, Lauren has a Masters in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She also holds an advanced certificate in BioSET, Quantum Reflex Analysis, and is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.

Maria Rickert HongMARIA RICKERT HONG, Media Director, is also the Media Director for the Documenting Hope Project.  She is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor who specializes in helping parents making dietary and lifestyle changes for children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), autism, ADHD, allergies, asthma, autoimmune and more.  She also helps tired mothers of special-needs children reclaim their energy.  Maria has recovered her sons from SPD, allergies, asthma and acid reflux, and is the author of Almost Autism:  Recovering Children from Sensory Processing Disorder, A Reference for Parents and Practitioners.  She is a frequent blogger about these issues for Epidemic Answers.  Maria is a former Wall Street equity research analyst covering the oil services sector at Salomon Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers.  Later, she covered the gaming, lodging & leisure sector at Jefferies & Co. and Calyon Securities.  She quit working on Wall Street when her first son was born.  Prior to working on Wall Street, she was a marketing specialist for Halliburton in New Orleans, where she also received her MBA in Finance & Strategy from Tulane University.

MARY ELIZABETH TOULOUSE graduated from Boston College in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. Mary worked in fixed income at Cantor Fitzgerald International in London and New York as well as in Fixed Income at JP Morgan.  After leaving finance, Mary began a second career in education. She taught at Greenwich Academy, while pursing her Master’s in Elementary Education at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. Mary also worked at her alma mater, Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT.   Currently, Mary is serving as a Board member of Epidemic Answers.  Mary is married to Brendan Toulouse; she has two children and resides in Harrison, NY.

Janine RuthJANINE BURNHAM RUTH is a holistic homeschooling mom of two boys.  Janine’s professional training includes Neurodevelopment, Sound Based Therapy, Reiki, Meridian Energy Balancing through TKM and Jin Shin Jyutsu, Autonomic Response Testing to identify energy blockages, their causes, and what will relieve them, Retained Neonatal Reflex Integration, and Homeopathy.  Janine is passionate about finding the deepest core disturbances to health and well being and using energetic and natural means to resolve them.  In her community, Janine started a local Holistic Moms Network chapter and co-developed Conscious Parenting for Aware Kids.  Besides professional pursuits, Janine enjoys organic gardening, traditional cooking, spiritual endeavors, and seeing life through the adventurous eyes of her children.

Robin MumfordROBIN MUMFORD is a London University Special Chemist whose early career was with Honeywell working with Fibers and Asset Management. Robin also founded the Mumford Institute in 1998, which deals with the effect of environmental lighting on learning and visual efficiency. He served as a of Director of Developmental Delay Resources and a Director of Central Park Historical Field Trips Inc., as well as Past Director of National Association for The Visually Handicapped.

Teresa BadilloTERESA BADILLO received her Bachelor’s in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto. In the 1980s she worked overseas in Rome, Italy at the Japanese Embassy in the office of the United Nations as a speech writer and began her long journey in alternative healing and a macrobiotic lifestyle while living in Rome. After moving to New York and raising a family of seven children, Teresa embarked on a mission to find alternative non-invasive biomedical, therapeutic, sensory and educational solutions for autism after the diagnosis of her son in the early 90s. She has worked in a number of alternative medical practices with practitioners organizing various biomedical intervention options for parents. Teresa was also on the Board of Directors of the Developmental Delay Resources for many years. Currently, in Florida, she is working with a holistic medical physician, doing urine and saliva testing on the underlying abnormal biochemistry and parent consultations on the dietary and nutritional supplementation protocols. In addition, she also continues to help parents on various autism listservs on-line.

Trieste MatteTRIESTE MATTE earned her Bachelors degree in Economics with a concentration in Information Systems from the Boston College Honors Program in 2000. After graduating, she worked as a consultant for Computer Sciences Corporation before moving into IT and Operations consulting in the hedge fund industry.   Trieste is currently at home raising four children and involved in her passion of bioethics and healthy living.  She serves on the board of Epidemic Answers.

Jayme Lewin RichJAYME LEWIN RICH is a pediatric occupational therapist who specializes in Sensory Integration.  She is the founder of Integrative Pediatrics, a downtown New York pediatric occupational therapy practice. Jayme previously served on the board of Developmental Delay Resources (DDR). Through her involvement with DDR, Jayme has focused her energies on working with other health professionals who practice complimentary alternative medicine with a specific focus on providing a holistic integrative approach. Jayme has been practicing as an occupational therapist for the past 33 years.  She received her certification to administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests from the USC Department of Occupational Therapy/Western Psychological Services in 1995. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in OT from the School of Allied Medical Professions at the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and her Masters degree in Health Policy and Management from the Wagner School of Public Administration at NYU in 1986.

Sheila ReedSHEILA REED, LCSW, CHHP, BEP, LLC is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a board certified Holistic Healthcare practitioner and BioEnergetic practitioner who specializes in Homotoxicology. Sheila came to BioEnergetic Medicine after seeing the success it has had healing her own children and now offers holistic healthcare which incorporates homotoxicology to adults and children.  Sheila has a BA in Sociology/Applied Social Relations, a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work along with certifications in Homotoxicology, BioEnergetic Medicine and Neurofeedback.
