BETH LAMBERT

BETH LAMBERT is a former healthcare consultant and teacher. As a consultant, she worked with pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic and other health care companies to evaluate industry trends. She is the author of A Compromised Generation: The Epidemic of Chronic Illness in America’s Children (Sentient Publications, 2010). She is also a co-author of Epidemic Answers’ Brain Under Attack: A Resource for Parents and Caregivers of Children with PANS, PANDAS, and Autoimmune Encephalitis. In 2009, Beth founded Epidemic Answers and currently serves as Executive Director. Beth attended Oxford University and graduated from Williams College and holds a Masters Degree in American Studies from Fairfield University.

LAUREN LEE STONE

LAUREN LEE STONE, PHD, MS, HHP is a nutritionist and holistic health practitioner who uses BioEnergetic Medicine as a healing modality. Lauren came to BioEnergetic Medicine in the search to heal her own children, and chose to make it her career after experiencing its success first hand. In addition to a B.A. from Yale University and a PhD from Cornell University, Lauren has a Masters in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She also holds an advanced certificate in BioSET, Quantum Reflex Analysis, and is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.

TERESA BADILLO

TERESA BADILLO received her Honors Bachelor degree from the University of Toronto in 1977. In the 1980s she worked overseas in Rome, Italy at the Japanese Embassy in the office of the United Nations (FAO) as a speech writer. She also began her long journey in alternative healing while living in Rome. After moving to New York and while raising her family of seven children, Teresa embarked on a mission to find alternative non-invasive biomedical, therapeutic, sensory and educational solutions for autism after the diagnosis of her son in the early 90s. She won a court case in 1995 against the Rockland County School District in New York to enable ARC Prime Time for Kids to be the first school using Applied Behavioral Analysis teaching method for autism that was paid for by the Rockland County School District. The following year she was instrumental in getting the New York Minister of Education to approve an extension of the ARC license from 5 to 21 years. She has worked over the years in a number of alternative medical practices with doctors and practitioners organizing various biomedical intervention options for children with autism. Since the mid 90s, Teresa has served on several Boards: Foundation for Children with Developmental Disabilities (FCDD); The Autoimmunity Project (TAAP), Developmental Delayed Resources (DDR) and currently Epidemic Answers (EA). She continues to consult and advise parents on all different areas of autism especially nutritional protocols. RACHEL PALETSKY ASH has been the CEO of Pure Essentials, LLC, a nutraceutical company since 2016. She is also the host of “The All and Tired of Being Sick and Tired” Sundays on WOR710am. Prior, she was the Creative Director for the Ash Center for Comprehensive Medicine, an integrative medical center in Manhattan as well as the Founder of wellNEST, a center for healthy living in the Hamptons. Rachel is co-founder and a board member of Mama Glow, a holistic maternal lifestyle company. She has been involved in philanthropic efforts including hosting fundraisers, events for organizations including Healthy Child, Healthy World, and Environmental Working Group. She currently resides in New York City and spends time in the Hamptons, and helping grow her family farm in South Farms, Connecticut which is now the largest agri-tourism center in the state.

LUMINARA SERDAR

LUMINARA SERDAR, CPN is a scientist, nutritionist and holistic healer who helps recover kids from autism using many strategies, including NeuroModulation Technique (NMT). She spent nearly 20 years in the biotech industry as a molecular biologist and product manager, and was involved with the human genome sequencing project. Her allergies were eliminated in two sessions using NMT. She was so impressed that she now uses it, along with nutrition, detoxification and her intimate knowledge of body biochemistry, to help heal children on the autism spectrum. She’s been eliminating allergies and correcting mind-body dysfunction since 2006. She works with clients throughout the world helping client restore their inner world so they can more effectively interact with their outer world.

JANET TAFT

JANET TAFT and her husband are parents to five boys in their 20’s, including two sets of twins, who have experienced various chronic conditions, such as ADHD, learning disabilities, severe allergies, and autoimmune disorders. With the help of clinical nutrition and supplementation by physicians addressing root causes, she was able to fully recover their 12 year old son from severe Central Auditory Processing Disorder, debilitating school anxiety and oppositional behavior. He later wrote his college essay about his recovery and is now a bright and thriving college student. Janet earned a BA at Smith College and a Masters at Yale in Nurse-Midwifery and has delivered over 230 babies in Connecticut hospitals. She returned to Yale to earn an MBA and then worked in public finance on Wall Street, raising capital in the bond market for hospitals, colleges and other nonprofits. Subsequently, while raising her family near Boston, she served many years as trustee for a hospital and for her childrens’ special education school, chairing the development committee. Janet regularly attends conferences on functional medicine and continues to see benefits of functional medical care, and of food as medicine, accruing to her family’s health.

PATRICIA S. LEMER

PATRICIA S. LEMER LPC MEd is a licensed professional counselor, holding a Masters of Education in counseling and learning disabilities from Boston College and a Masters in Business from Johns Hopkins University. She practiced as an educational diagnostician for over 40 years. She was a co-founder and served as Executive Director of the international non-profit organization Developmental Delay Resources (DDR). After DDR merged with Epidemic Answers, she became Chairman of the Board. She is the author of Outsmarting Autism, Updated and Expanded: Build Healthy Foundations for Communication, Socialization, and Behavior at All Ages. Lemer writes continually for her blog “After the Diagnosis, Then What?” about combining a biomedical approach to autism with sensory and movement-based therapies. ROBIN MUMFORD

Robin Mumford attended London University where he earned a degree in chemistry. After university, Robin served in the British Army, where he was a key member of the Army’s soccer teams. He was employed by companies located both in England and Scotland before immigrating to the United States, arriving with his young family at New York Harbor in November 1962. The family lived in Virginia for six years during which time Robin advanced rapidly at the Allied Chemical Corporation, earning patents for a variety of products and processes while shifting from technical staff to executive leadership. Relocating to Middletown NJ in 1968, Robin remained in corporate life until 1978 at which time he pursued a variety of technical initiatives, notably including his involvement with the National Association for the Visually Handicapped, where he served as a board member. Working within the NYC school system, Robin pioneered the theory that specific lighting technologies significantly enhance the educational abilities and achievements of young students. His unique lighting devices helped improve the lives of many, including those suffering from dyslexia. He served on the boards of Developmental Delay Resources as well as its successor, Epidemic Answers. We remember Robin’s contributions as well as his unique perspective, curiosity and outlook.
