Epidemic Answers is an organization dedicated to educating the public about the epidemic of chronic illness affecting the current generation of children and supporting and helping parents connect with other parents and appropriate healthcare providers in an effort to heal our children and prevent other children from becoming chronically ill.

Epidemic Answers is dedicated to educating the public about the epidemic of chronic illness affecting the current generation of children and providing prevention and healing solutions for parents, caregivers and future parents.

Our hope is that by educating and empowering parents and caregivers we can get more kids on the road to recovery and inspire the cultural changes that will be necessary to keep our children safe and healthy in the future.

What We Do

Epidemic Answers offers a starting point for parents looking to understand why their children are chronically ill and what can be done to recover them.

We provide parent-oriented educational resources and networking tools that empower individuals to confidently embrace the healing journey for themselves and their families.

Epidemic Answers was started by Beth Lambert and Michelle Tortora, two mothers of children with chronic illnesses.

Beth Lambert

Beth LambertBeth had two young children with significant food allergies, gut dysbiosis and immune dysregulation that resulted in inflammatory bowel disease and a variety of chronic symptoms.

Through a variety of healing modalities (including diet, supplements, energy medicine, homeopathy, and others) Beth’s children have recovered from their chronic illnesses.

Beth is a former healthcare consultant and teacher.

While recovering her children from their health issues, Beth was writing her master’s thesis on the epidemic of chronic illness in American children.

That thesis has since become a book entitled: A Compromised Generation:  The Epidemic of Chronic Illness in America’s Children.

Michelle Tortora

Michelle TortoraBefore becoming a full-time mom, Michelle was an associate in marketing operations for JPMorgan Chase.

When Michelle’s son was diagnosed at 18 months old with autism spectrum disorder, she began a journey of discovery into the root causes of his condition.

Using a combination of healing diets, supplements, developmental and occupational therapies, her son is now recovered.

Michelle also has a neurotypical daughter who suffered from food allergies, inflammation and chronic ear infections.

Armed with the knowledge that her son’s autism symptoms stemmed from systemic imbalances including gut dysbiosis and immune dysregulation, Michelle was able to apply similar healing protocols to her daughter with great results.
